Job Description
Pivotal Talent Search is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to drive data-driven improvements across the supply chain from their on-site office in New York, NY. The role collaborates with Supply Chain, Data Engineering, and BI teams to transform data into actionable analytics, build scalable reporting, and refine data products that support strategic decision-making. This position offers a salary range of USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end analytics initiatives from concept through deployment, delivering insights that inform supply chain strategy and business objectives.
- Examine large, complex data sets to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and potential efficiency gains.
- Convert business questions into structured analytical plans that guide informed decision-making.
- Develop data-driven recommendations and communicate findings to leadership via presentations and reports.
- Investigate and resolve issues related to deployed analytics solutions and data products.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable dashboards, reports, and BI solutions.
- Create and enhance data products that improve visibility into supply chain performance and key operational metrics.
- Leverage SQL, Power BI, Excel, and additional tools to support reporting and analytics needs.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering and Technology teams to maintain data quality, accessibility, and reliable reporting.
- Support ongoing enhancements of analytics capabilities and reporting frameworks.
- Partner with Supply Chain, Operations, Technology, and business stakeholders to capture analytical requirements and prioritize initiatives.
- Coordinate with technical teams to ensure the data infrastructure scales with evolving business needs.
- Present analytical findings and strategic recommendations to both technical and business audiences.
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships while balancing multiple priorities and project timelines.
- Mentor junior analysts and promote best practices in analytics, reporting, and problem-solving.
- Stay current with emerging analytics technologies, BI tools, and industry trends.
- Identify opportunities to improve analytical processes, reporting efficiency, and organization-wide data utilization.
- Support a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and data-driven decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Analytics, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of four years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related analytical role.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Excel, and Power BI.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and derive actionable insights.
- Experience designing dashboards, reports, and business intelligence solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
