Job Description

Amazon.com Services LLC, home to Prime Video, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to tackle large-scale data warehousing challenges. In this role, you will design and operate scalable ETL pipelines on AWS, enabling robust data processing and self-service access for analytics across Prime Video. You’ll join a mission-driven team that collaborates across business and technical units to translate complex data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

  • You will solve big data warehousing problems on a massive scale and apply cloud-based AWS services to address challenges around big data processing, data warehouse design, and self-service data access.
  • You will be part of a team focused on automation and optimization for all aspects of DW/ETL maintenance and deployment.
  • You will collaborate with business and technical teams on non-standard and unique business problems, using creative problem solving to deliver actionable outputs.
  • You will develop systems and tools to process data with efficient technologies that can scale to seasonal spikes.
  • Your work will directly influence day-to-day decision making within the team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of data engineering experience
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
  • Experience mentoring team members on best practices
