Job Description

Capgemini is hiring a Senior Data Scientist for a client-facing AI consulting position based in Chicago, IL (onsite). In this role, you will support the design, build, and deployment of Agentic AI, Generative AI, and RAG-based enterprise solutions, combining AI solution architecture with cloud implementation and stakeholder collaboration.

You will work across the full lifecycle of enterprise AI initiatives, translating business requirements into scalable AI designs and leading technical engagement through workshops, PoCs, and solution demonstrations. The position emphasizes strong hands-on development using modern AI tooling and practical governance controls to meet responsible AI and enterprise security standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Agentic AI solutions
  • Design and implement Generative AI applications
  • Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures
  • Design and implement enterprise AI assistants and intelligent workflows
  • Translate business requirements into scalable AI solution designs
  • Develop AI applications using Python
  • Develop AI applications using LangChain and similar frameworks
  • Develop AI applications using LLMs (including GPT, Claude, etc.)
  • Implement prompt engineering
  • Implement embeddings
  • Implement AI orchestration
  • Implement security and governance controls
  • Build solutions on Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Lead technical discussions, workshops, PoCs, and solution demonstrations
  • Ensure compliance with Responsible AI, security, and enterprise standards

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Strong experience building AI solutions using modern AI frameworks
  • Experience in client-facing consulting or technology delivery roles
  • Knowledge of AI governance, privacy, security, and Responsible AI practices
  • Consulting or professional services experience
  • Experience leading AI-driven transformation initiatives
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
