Job Description

Vibhutechinc is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer for a contract role based in the United States (hybrid). The engagement focuses on building scalable platform software for machine learning workflows, with a strong emphasis on software testing, configurability, and reliable operations across enterprise use cases.

You will contribute to a platform that supports capabilities aligned to enterprise AutoML, Feature Engineering, and MLOps, using Python and Google Cloud Platform (GCP preferred). Work spans automation of metrics and metadata, integration of data sources across on-prem and cloud environments, and deployment plus monitoring of ML models in both batch and real-time processes.

Responsibilities

  • Translate ML and platform functionality into scalable, tested, and configurable platform software.
  • Define and automate key metrics and metadata management using software packages that standardize logging and governance for platform tenants.
  • Manage and integrate data sources on-prem and in the cloud, including RDBMS systems, Warehouses, BigQuery, and Bucket Storage.
  • Develop features aligned to enterprise AutoML, Feature Engineering, and MLOps capability areas.
  • Perform software development in Python and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.

Requirements

  • Understanding of advanced algorithms and applications using R/Python.
  • Ability to recommend compute infrastructure components such as GPUs or CPUs based on job and compute needs.
  • Experience managing and integrating data sources across on-prem and cloud, including RDBMS systems, Warehouses, BigQuery, and Bucket Storage.
  • Great communication skills.
  • 2+ years deploying and monitoring models in batch/real-time business processes, with understanding of ML frameworks.
  • 2+ years of Python programming experience grounded in strong software development principles.
  • Hands-on experience building solutions using cloud-native services with GCP preferred (AWS acceptable), including: bucket storage, BigQuery, Kubeflow, DataProc, VertexAI, and DataFusion.
