Senior Product Data Analyst

Work on trusted data that directly shapes product decisions with Salesforce’s Data & Insights organization supporting the Slack product. In this Senior Product Data Analyst role (onsite in San Francisco, CA), you will turn reliable analytics into insights that help leaders across Product, Engineering, and Go-to-Market make smarter choices for users and customers. You will also build AI-powered analytics automations that reduce routine reporting so you can spend more time on high-impact analysis and clear, executive-ready recommendations.

What you’ll be doing (and why it matters)

This role is part of the Slack Data & Insights team within Salesforce, focused on accelerating growth and performance of the Slack product by converting trusted data into actionable insight. You will partner with leaders across key functions to tackle complex product and business problems, with your work influencing strategic decisions and helping teams deliver better experiences.

• Lead end-to-end product analytics, covering data modeling and metric design through advanced analysis and implementation
• Provide concise, executive-ready recommendations to senior stakeholders
• Build AI-powered analytics automations that connect product usage, customer engagement, and business outcomes into workflows stakeholders can use to answer questions independently
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to design and maintain trusted data models that support operational reporting and advanced analytics
• Create scalable measurement systems by designing analytical frameworks and standard product metrics that consistently track performance and identify trends across teams

Required qualifications

• Related technical degree required
• 7+ years of experience applying analytics to solve complex product or business problems
• Advanced SQL proficiency and experience with at least one analytics programming language: Python or R
• Ability to independently define ambiguous problems, develop analytical approaches, and lead initiatives from concept through implementation

Preferred qualifications

• Experience building scalable BI solutions in Tableau or Looker
• Experience creating self-service analytics experiences
• Outstanding communication and storytelling skills, including experience presenting to executive audiences
• Experience working in a technology company

Compensation: USD 172,500 - 285,800 per year
