Senior Tableau Developer Data Engineer Vice President

Based in Tampa, Citi seeks a Senior Tableau Developer/Data Engineer at the Vice President level to steer Tableau BI design and data engineering within Applications Development. This on-site role combines advanced data visualization with SQL, Python and PySpark automation, and AI-enabled analytics to drive impactful insights across multiple teams. The position emphasizes collaboration, technical excellence, and delivering scalable analytics solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead Tableau Advanced Dashboard and Report design and development, covering data visualization, charts, graphs, data migration, ad-hoc reporting, and data validation.
• Perform advanced data manipulation and analysis using complex SQL queries.
• Develop Python and PySpark scripts to automate data processes and execute advanced analytics.
• Leverage AI capabilities with Devin and Stylus, alongside Python and SQL, to enhance analytics workflows.
• Partner with multiple management teams to ensure proper function integration and identify system enhancements for new products and process improvements.
• Resolve high-impact problems through in-depth evaluation of business processes, system processes, and industry standards.
• Provide expertise in applications programming and ensure designs align with the overall architecture blueprint.
• Develop coding, testing, debugging, and implementation standards while applying deep knowledge of system flow.
• Build comprehensive understanding of how areas such as architecture and infrastructure integrate to achieve business goals.
• Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions.
• Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as needed.
• Assess risk in business decisions, safeguarding Citi, its clients and assets by ensuring compliance with laws, rules, and regulations and escalating control issues with transparency.

Requirements

• 6-10 years of experience with Tableau advanced concepts and strong development of reports, dashboards, and documents.
• 5+ years of Python and PySpark scripting to automate data processes and perform advanced analytics.
• 6+ years of experience with complex SQL queries.
• Experience adapting AI tools such as Devin and Stylus; familiarity with applying AI in analytics.
• Experience with Starburst and Druid AI ecosystems.
• Demonstrated leadership and project management abilities.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

Location and Compensation

Primary location: Tampa, Florida, United States (onsite)

Salary range: USD 113,840 - 170,760 per year
