Job Description

Based onsite at Fort Benning, GA, Booz Allen Hamilton seeks a Special Missions Data Engineer to build data pipelines and platforms that organize disparate data for mission-driven projects and enable insights across domains such as fraud detection, cancer research, and national intelligence.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to designing and delivering advanced data engineering solutions on mission-driven initiatives.
  • Deploy and evolve pipelines and platforms that transform diverse data into actionable information.
  • Lead and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in an agile environment.
  • Oversee the assessment, design, construction, and maintenance of scalable platforms for clients.

Requirements

  • Experience building and maintaining ETL and ELT processes from diverse sources, ensuring data quality and consistency across systems.
  • Proven ability to construct data pipelines for batch and streaming workflows.
  • Background in software development, including API development, database management, and software architecture for containerization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency with Python and SQL for processing, scripting, automation, and optimization.
  • Track record of delivering solutions within a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 25 percent of the time.
  • Ability to travel CONUS up to 25 percent of the time.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • High school diploma or GED.

CLEARANCE

  • Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

COMPENSATION

Salary range is USD 77,500 to 176,000 per year. Compensation is determined by location, education, knowledge, skills, experience, contract-specific affordability, and organizational requirements. This range reflects typical pay for the role and is one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation.

IDENTITY STATEMENT

WORK MODEL

  • Remote: Although listed as remote, occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility may be required.
  • Hybrid: Frequent work from a Booz Allen facility is expected, with potential visits to a customer facility as needed.
  • Onsite: Primary work location is a Booz Allen office or customer facility, with collaboration on-site as required.
