Job Description

Cook Systems offers a role focused on secure, end-to-end health data integration. As a Senior Salesforce Health Cloud Data Engineer, you will design and implement ETL jobs and data integrations across the full software lifecycle, collaborating with Salesforce Architects and Application Development teams to enable bidirectional data movement using Salesforce Data Loader and Azure tools, all while upholding HIPAA, privacy, and federal security requirements. The position emphasizes collaboration, governance, and delivering reliable data flows, with remote work options and a strong benefits package to support health and financial security.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Salesforce Architects to model data for Salesforce repositories in line with solution architecture.
  • Maintain data integrity and accuracy within the Health Cloud application.
  • Ingest, validate, and process incoming data, applying business rules and integrating within Salesforce.
  • Develop and coordinate unit and integration test plans; execute testing and assess results.
  • Design, implement, and optimize code for Salesforce data integration with third-party applications.
  • Apply changes and provide user and system support post-implementation.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and advocate data-driven changes.
  • Resolve critical data issues while ensuring alignment with security policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent database development experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to receive a favorable DoD background investigation.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Data Engineering role.
  • 2+ years of experience with Azure.
  • 3+ years of experience developing data integration source code in SQL or equivalent.
  • Experience in ETL with both structured and semi-structured data.
  • Experience gathering business requirements from cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with SDLC processes and DevOps.
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience with Databricks, Python, Data Governance, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft SSIS, SQL Server, and Snowflake in Azure Cloud.
