Staff Technical Data Analyst

Intuit is seeking a Staff Technical Data Analyst to help build scalable, AI-ready data foundations and dashboards. This onsite role in San Diego partners with data engineers, software engineers, product managers and architects to deliver executive insights and proactive anomaly notifications. You will contribute to a data-driven culture by developing metrics and enabling timely decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Engineering to build data assets, dashboards and AI-enabled capabilities that speed up data and trend analysis, generate insights, enable driver analysis, and support decision-making.
• Translate business requirements into data discovery and analytics solutions, including data pipelines, AI-ready data models and dashboards aligned with business needs.
• Develop and monitor key metrics and KPIs to track performance and foster a data-driven culture.
• Design and implement data-driven strategies and operational processes to optimize growth and efficiency.
• Proactively identify business challenges and address them through data analysis and strategic problem-solving.
• Manage workload independently and pursue opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent work experience.
• 6+ years of combined post-graduate academic and industry experience applying quantitative and scientific methods to real-world business problems.
• Proven ability to analyze large, complex datasets.
• Proficiency in SQL, data visualization tools (Qlik, Tableau, QuickSight), and scripting languages (Python, R) with a track record of building scalable, production-ready, reproducible workflows.
• Hands-on experience using AI-native tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Claude Cowork, or equivalent) to accelerate data workflows, pipeline development, analysis and insights generation.
• Basic front-end development skills (JavaScript, React) are a plus.
• Strong data storytelling skills, with the ability to construct impactful visualizations, communicate insights, and influence leadership.
• A proactive and results-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable with ambiguity.
