Senior Machine Learning Engineer on TikTok's Recommendation team, leading the development and deployment of recommendation systems and ML pipelines to support growth in the US market.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy recommendation models to improve user experience and strengthen the platform's content ecosystem.
- Build ML systems and pipelines to address key product challenges.
- Own full stack ML systems, guiding development, maintenance, and ongoing improvements.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to shape product strategy and deliver solutions for US growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a related field, with at least 4 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficient in C/C++ and Python, with a strong grasp of data structures and algorithms and hands-on experience building large-scale production systems.
- Solid knowledge and practical experience building ML systems with at least one major deep learning framework (PyTorch or TensorFlow).
- Experience in one or more areas: applied machine learning, ML infrastructure, large-scale recommendation systems, or market-facing ML products.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Job Information
The base salary range for this position in San Jose, CA is USD 156,000 to 387,600 annually. Compensation may vary outside this range based on factors including qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. Base pay is part of the total package and may be eligible for discretionary bonuses or incentives and restricted stock units.
