Associate Data Analyst
Job Description
This hybrid role supports accurate insurance data processing and reporting through document review, verification, and data entry in the SLA proprietary database.
Responsibilities
- Compare source document data with database reports to detect errors and confirm completeness and conformity with established policies and procedures.
- Ensure any needed corrections or changes are completed.
- Notify Lead Analysts when major errors are identified.
- Verify broker data for accuracy.
- Confirm calculated taxes and fees for correctness.
- Accurately record coverage and industrial operation codes for reporting to the CDI.
- Partner with Lead Analyst to assist brokers with electronic filing questions and surplus lines procedural process questions.
- Respond to broker questions and inquiries in a timely manner.
- Monitor the status of all open issues to support timely resolution.
- Escalate matters to management as appropriate.
- Develop knowledge of surplus lines law, regulations, and filing procedures, including rules and practices relevant to the role.
- Participate in system enhancements and fixes.
- Identify and report system issues.
- Participate in testing and resolution of system fixes when appropriate.
- Work toward established quality and quantity objectives for the position.
- Build proficiency with all programs used in the SLA.
- Build working knowledge of organization policies and procedures; attend training classes as scheduled.
Requirements
- Must be a California resident.
- Associate’s degree plus 2 years of work experience.
- Bachelor's degree with relevant work experience is a plus.
- Insurance experience or knowledge is a plus.
