Benefits Data Analyst
Job Description
Benefit Allocation Systems, LLC is seeking a Benefits Data Analyst to oversee data exchanges between BAS, insurance carriers, payroll vendors, and client platforms. This hybrid role in King of Prussia, PA offers an hourly rate of $24-$25 and requires a minimum of two years' experience in EDI, benefits administration, or related fields, with a focus on managing eligibility and data integration efforts.
Responsibilities
- Create and transmit eligibility data to insurance carriers.
- Produce payroll deduction files for clients and payroll partners.
- Ingest inbound payroll and participant demographic data into MyEnroll360.
- Generate self-billing reports for clients and carriers.
- Monitor daily file workflows and troubleshoot exceptions, errors, and processing fallout.
- Conduct thorough reconciliation of participant enrollment data across BAS and carrier systems.
- Examine large data sets to surface discrepancies and identify root causes.
- Ensure timely, accurate delivery of critical benefits information.
- Design, test, and validate new eligibility, payroll deduction, and data import file formats.
- Join implementation discussions with clients, carriers, payroll vendors, and internal teams.
- Coordinate testing activities for files and document outcomes.
- Collaborate with BAS programming and technology teams to deploy new data exchange solutions.
- Act as the primary contact for data-related inquiries from clients and carriers.
- Assist Account Managers with file processing, reconciliation, and reporting tasks.
- Build solid relationships with carriers, payroll vendors, and client contacts.
- Support special projects and client implementations.
- Back up teammates during peak workloads.
- Participate in discussions on file layouts, data requirements, and process improvements.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, and data quality.
Requirements
- Minimum two years of experience in EDI, benefits administration, payroll integration, data analysis, healthcare administration, insurance operations, HRIS administration, or a related field.
- Experience with electronic data interchange, eligibility files, payroll files, or similar data exchange processes.
- Familiarity with CSV, fixed-width, XML, and other structured file formats.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, formulas, and data analysis functions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
