Business Data Analyst
Job Description
Entry-level Business Data Analyst based on-site in Elmwood, WI, supporting the Senior Business Data Analyst with reporting, dashboard updates, and data accuracy improvements.
Responsibilities
- Gather and review business data and reporting needs
- Support creation, maintenance, and updates for reports, spreadsheets, dashboards, and KPI tracking
- Check data for accuracy, consistency, and completeness
- Perform basic data analysis to identify trends, errors, and opportunities for improvement
- Fulfill reporting requests from departments across the organization
- Assist with ERP-related reporting, data cleanup, and system projects
- Partner with cross-functional teams to help ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Produce summaries, reports, and basic analysis for internal teams and management
- Communicate findings and updates clearly and professionally
- Handle other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong computer skills, including Excel, spreadsheets, email, and related software
- Basic understanding of data analysis, reporting, and business processes
- Ability to organize, review, and interpret data
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Willingness to learn ERP systems, reporting tools, dashboards, and data visualization methods
- Working knowledge of SQL, Power BI, or similar BI tools preferred but not required
- Interest in manufacturing, animal health, business operations, or process improvement preferred
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred
- Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply
- Prior internship, coursework, or work experience in data analysis, reporting, business analysis, or administrative data support helpful
- Experience with MS Office products, especially Excel, required
- Experience with ERP systems or data visualization tools preferred but not required
- Manufacturing industry experience a plus but not required
