Data Analyst

C-A-L Ranch Stores offers a role for an experienced Data Analyst who will independently conduct data analysis and turn insights into reports that support management. Based in Idaho Falls, ID (onsite), this position combines reporting, systems support, and business process improvement across ERP, warehouse, EDI, and merchandising tools.

You will partner with stakeholders and a department lead to document business needs, improve operational procedures, and ensure data quality. The work spans weekly and monthly reporting, system testing and support (including ERP/WMS/EDI integrations), and maintaining clear technical documentation used for training and permanent records.

Responsibilities

• Create, run, and disseminate weekly and monthly reports as directed by stakeholders and the team.
• Provide ERP support, including testing and implementation, with CPP included in the scope.
• Support and test the Warehouse Management System (WMS) for warehouse operations.
• Deliver Excel support for stores and provide management support for stores and Home Office.
• Support Corporate EDI needs.
• Manage SharePoint support, including updates and changes for Merchandising.
• Support D-Com testing and ensure data exchange between Compass and Ecommerce platforms.
• Maintain data integrity, including hierarchy and ongoing maintenance.
• At the direction of the department lead, identify, define, and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, and system requirements.
• Track and fully document change for functional and business specifications; write detailed procedures for permanent records and for training use.
• Collaborate with the department lead to plan, organize, and conduct business process improvement.
• Apply creative thinking to the development of business processes.
• Participate in user testing of new system functionality.
• Develop subject matter expertise across department functions, including applicable laws, rules, regulations, procedures, and technical operations.
• Provide technical assistance in training, mentoring, and coaching professional and technical staff.
• Establish and maintain effective, cooperative working relationships.
• Act as a team lead on designated projects and, when assigned, provide work direction to technical or clerical staff.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the products Country Supplier sells.
• Perform daily cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, replacing full trash bags, and sweeping.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Two (2) years of experience in business process analysis, database management, change management, and/or analytical or research projects (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in data analytics (or similar field) (preferred).
• Experience with ERP systems and/or Epicor Software.
• Experience with presentation, spreadsheet, flow charting, and work processing.
• Understanding of developing business and data process specifications, including procedures and testing of business functions within computer systems.
• Strong project documentation skills, including business functions, desk manuals, and configuration documentation.
• Ability to handle multiple parallel projects.
• Knowledge of basis project management techniques and change management techniques.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, MS Access, and application software.
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to write logical, comprehensive, concise reports and correspondence.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
