The Senior Data Analyst (SQL) at City National Bank evaluates data quality, defines data quality rules, writes SQL queries, performs root-cause analysis, and develops monitoring tools to support data quality initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Leads discussions with business teams to identify and formalize data quality rules.
- Constructs SQL queries from business requirements to assess data for completeness, accuracy, conformity, validity, and timeliness.
- Leverages programmatic and quantitative methods to uncover patterns in large data sets and applies statistical analysis to address data quality questions.
- Documents data quality rules and associated metadata.
- Drafts technical specifications for data quality rules developed by the offshore team.
- Performs root-cause analysis of data errors.
- Facilitates remediation actions for data errors.
- Builds reports and tools for monitoring, visualization and interpretation of data quality activities using Tableau, Excel, and SharePoint.

- Minimum 5 years of experience delivering data analysis or data quality operations

- Salary range: USD 87,000 - 153,000 per year.
