What you’ll do

  • Provide daily high-level advanced departmental administrative support to drive efficiency and strategic goals.
  • Help develop, communicate, implement, and evaluate the department's mission, goals and objectives, ensuring alignment with Jackson Health System financial sustainability.
  • Assist in maintaining regulatory compliance through programmatic changes and by reviewing adherence to guidelines.
  • Coordinate personnel functions for the department and oversee administrative processes related to Trust and Grant funds, including compliance, ledgers, and monthly administration reports.
  • Promote exceptional customer service within the department by developing and implementing customer-focused systems, processes, and behaviors.
  • Support annual budget preparation, procurement, and contract analysis, contributing to informed financial decisions.
  • Maintain knowledge of managed care, healthcare delivery trends, payment structures, accreditation regulations, and related criteria to support compliant operations.
  • Ensure timely report deadlines and complete, accurate information distribution.
  • Extract, clean, and validate data from EMRs (Epic, Cerner), ERP systems (Infor/Lawson), and other healthcare databases to support analytics initiatives.
  • Develop dashboards and automated reports using tools such as Tableau or SSRS, translating findings into actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational data governance standards; support quality improvement, regulatory reporting, and accreditation needs (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS).
  • Provide insights on KPIs including length of stay (LOS), FCOT, throughput, OR utilization, supply chain spend, and revenue cycle metrics; collaborate with clinical, operational, and administrative leaders to define reporting needs and analytics solutions.
  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and advocate data-driven improvements; partner with IT, Finance, Supply Chain, Nursing, and Quality teams on enterprise-wide analytics initiatives.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for diverse stakeholders; perform other related duties as assigned.

What you’ll bring

  • Generally requires 3 to 5 years of related experience.
  • Experience with Tableau Software required.
  • Experience with SQL required.
  • Valid license or certification may be required depending on the job or specialty.
  • Education: High school diploma.
