Job Description
Delta Airlines' Crew Resources organization invites a Fall 2026 Co-op / Data Analyst to join onsite in Atlanta. The role centers on translating data into practical automation and insights that enhance crew operations performance, support informed decision making, and boost task efficiency through a structured sequence of rotations. This internship offers hands-on exposure to multiple facets of crew planning and operational analysis.
Responsibilities
- Assist in delivering data-driven solutions and automation that continually enhance Crew Operations performance and decision making.
- Collaborate with the team on a range of tasks that contribute to process improvements, cost reductions, and time savings.
- Identify existing manual processes suitable for data automation and design/implement replacements to reduce task completion time.
- Apply project management practices to ensure all tasks are completed on time and within budget.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student (sophomore or above) with a minimum of 30 semester hours completed.
- Minimum 2.5 GPA and the ability to maintain it.
- Co-op positions do not guarantee a full-time opportunity upon graduation; the experience is intended for education and professional development.
- Enrollment must span 3 alternating semesters in Atlanta, GA, with the following rotations:
- Fall 2026 - 1st rotation
- Summer 2027 - 2nd rotation
- Spring 2028 - 3rd rotation
- Must be able to complete 3 alternating rotations in Atlanta while adhering to the schedule; you cannot concurrently take courses while serving as a Co-op, which may delay graduation by 1-2 semesters.
- Experience with SQL or database querying tools, including ETL and data modeling knowledge, is required.
- Proficiency in any scripting language (Python, GitHub, PowerShell) is preferred.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies is preferred.
- Strong computer skills with extensive Excel experience, including VBA.
- Demonstrates outside-the-box thinking and strong organizational, project management, and personal management skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well in teams.
- Must be enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university.
- Highly preferred: curiosity, sense of humor, willingness to try new ideas, and persistence in the face of adversity.
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data, and embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
- Holds a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency; is at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
