Job Description

Cost Engineer/Data Analyst on Lockheed Martin's Predictive Analytics and Cost Engineering (PACE) team, this role supports data-driven cost estimates for program captures, data collection and modeling, dashboard automation, and communicating results to stakeholders. The position may involve affordability analysis and collaboration with CI/PTW and ICE.

Responsibilities

  • Apply and tailor established cost models to relevant program captures.
  • Perform cross-check analyses to validate program estimates.
  • Create and deploy dashboards used by the project team.
  • Prepare and present findings to colleagues, senior staff, and executives.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Business Development, Program Finance, Estimating, Proposal Management, and ICE to discuss model results.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource on cost estimates and the drivers behind them.
  • Collaborate closely with data science analysts to build and enhance tools and capabilities for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Opportunities exist to grow and upskill in data science disciplines and technical abilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in mathematics, operations research, engineering, finance, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Active TS or TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple duties simultaneously.
  • Comfort navigating technical or cost data to understand relationships and to present results.
  • High level of accountability and the ability to be self-starting.
  • Experience with one or more of the following areas: cost model development, data collection and normalization, data science and analytics, systems engineering/architecture, spacecraft engineering fields, or finance or related domains.

Work Arrangement

Onsite full-time work location: designated Lockheed Martin facility; no remote work option for this position.

Work Schedule

Lockheed Martin offers a variety of alternative schedules. This role follows a 9x80 schedule with every other Friday off.

Compensation Details

Base annual salary range: USD 104,500 - 208,150. Salary may vary by location as described below:

  • For California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, or Washington DC: 104,500 - 184,115.
  • For states not listed above, the salary range will reflect final work location and may differ.
  • For most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York: 120,100 - 208,150.
