Job Description

The Data Analyst role at Booz Allen Hamilton is based in Dayton, Ohio on site, focusing on applying technical and analytical capabilities to support business and security objectives. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, or business and a minimum of six years of data analysis or visualization experience, with an option for 10+ years of experience in lieu of the degree.

Responsibilities

  • Develop data analytics and visualizations by applying established data science principles and industry practices.
  • Design and edit visual content, including charts, graphs, and dashboards, to translate datasets into clear, actionable visuals.
  • Collaborate with requestors, stakeholders, and project managers to refine requests and clarify business objectives.
  • Leverage data analytics to derive business insights, identify issues, and propose ways to boost organizational efficiency.
  • Build, integrate, and maintain analytic models, visualizations, and tools designed to deter, detect, and mitigate threats.
  • Support the sustainment of risk scoring tools and other data analysis implementations by diagnosing and resolving system errors and failures.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts to learn about specific products and processes.
  • Assist in preparing reports and briefs on analyses and dashboard functionality for internal teams.
  • Capture, maintain, and accumulate statistics that illustrate quantities and timelines for key processes, such as data transfers between domains, to monitor system integrity and performance.
  • Assist in supporting Policy Business Operations, including policy analysis, review, and coordination.
  • Contribute to creating and revising technical documents, reports, and communications to ensure a consistent message.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience with Geospatial Information Systems tools such as ArcView, ArcGIS, Remote View, ArcIMS, ERDAS Imagine, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Macromedia Fireworks, Photoshop, HTML, or FrameMaker.
  • Experience integrating, developing, and maintaining analytic models, visualizations, and tools.
  • Experience coding to support scripting with tools such as Java and Python.
  • Experience using SharePoint, Tableau, Redmine, and related systems or databases to manipulate and build data visualizations.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Data Science, Statistics, or Business field and 6+ years of experience in data analysis or visualization, OR 10+ years of experience in lieu of degree.

Compensation

The projected compensation range for this position is USD 61,900.00 to USD 141,000.00 per year. This range represents typical salary for this role and is one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package. The posting will close within 90 days from the posting date.
