Job Description
KPMG offers a remote, contract Data Analyst role with a competitive hourly rate of USD 42 to 52. In this position, you will collect, clean, and validate large data sets from multiple sources, analyze data to identify trends and insights, and communicate findings to stakeholders. You will collaborate on data collection and reporting initiatives, and contribute to the development of data models, dashboards, and reporting workflows to support business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and validate large data sets from diverse sources
- Analyze data using statistical techniques and data visualization tools to identify trends, patterns, and correlations
- Interpret and present data findings clearly to stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and develop data collection methodologies
- Develop and maintain data models, databases, and dashboards for efficient analysis and reporting
- Identify data quality issues and implement measures to ensure accuracy and integrity
- Conduct ad hoc data analysis to support business objectives
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and reporting
- Assist in the development and implementation of data-driven strategies and initiatives
- Uphold the firm’s respectful and courteous work environment through integrity and professionalism
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages, such as SQL, Python, or R
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with complex data sets
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
- Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques and methodologies
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to spot data inconsistencies or anomalies
- Strong communication and presentation skills to convey complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
