Data Analyst

Job Details

Location: Los Angeles, CA (hybrid). Compensation: USD 100,000 to 130,000 per year. Experience: Minimum of 3 years in data analysis, database management, or related roles. Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and administration of enterprise databases for AF and SF SBIR/STTR data, connecting contract awards to proposals for comprehensive program insights.
• Coordinate data integration and uploads to platforms such as Google Cloud, MS Teams, and the Defense SBIR/STTR Innovation Portal (DSIP).
• Craft and run complex queries drawing from multiple sources (CRIS, DSIP metadata, EDA, SAM.GOV, VISSION-X) to deliver complete and accurate datasets.
• Supervise data collection and statutory reporting, including quarterly and annual submissions to the Department of War.
• Collaborate with the DOW Data Team to reconcile data discrepancies, enhance reporting workflows, and maintain federal compliance.
• Participate in data governance and cross-functional activities, including conference calls and working groups to raise data quality and reporting standards.
• Offer strategic recommendations based on data analysis to inform program development, resource allocation, and policy decisions.

Requirements

• 3 to 8 years of experience in data analysis, database management, or related analytical roles, with a Bachelor’s degree.
• Proven expertise in database design, administration, and data integration across multiple platforms.
• Strong proficiency with data analysis tools and methodologies.
• Advanced experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, and Seaborn.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to senior leadership.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one.
