Job Description
The Office of Research & Analytics at the Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) is seeking a Data Analyst to support policy-relevant housing research for OHFA. The role focuses on analyzing housing-related data and delivering statistical and narrative reporting to inform research and policy discussions.
Role Overview
The Data Analyst will design and conduct research on policy-relevant housing issues for OHFA. Work includes analyzing data and producing both statistical and narrative reports using tools such as R Studio, Tableau, Stata, ArcGIS, and Python.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and conduct research of policy-relevant housing issues for OHFA
- Collaborate with the Office of Multifamily Housing on the Qualified Allocation Plan
- Work with agency partners to prepare and publish research findings, including statistical and narrative reports and policy briefs
- Use R Studio, Tableau, Stata, ArcGIS, and Python to analyze data and prepare statistical and narrative reports
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, City and Regional Planning, Data Analytics, Public Policy, or a related field
- 2 classes or 6 months’ work experience with at least one of the following: Tableau, Power BI, R, State, SAS, ESRI ArcGIS
- 2 classes or 6 months’ work experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and convey complex information to a wide range of audiences
- Strong understanding of the primary subject matter relevant to OHFA’s mission as well as the data resources that contribute to that work

Work Location
This position will work from OHFA’s offices located at 2600 Corporate Exchange Drive, Columbus, OH 43231 (onsite).
