Data Analyst
Job Description
Support infectious diseases clinical trials by entering and validating trial data across sponsor and internal systems while coordinating accuracy and documentation with clinical teams.
Responsibilities
- Enter data into the clinical trial sponsor system and Georgetown internal software
- Coordinate data entry with the clinical trial sponsor and their proprietary software
- Plan clinical trial subject visits and schedule subjects using Google Calendar
- Ensure data consistency between Georgetown GMS and the clinical trial sponsor by partnering with the Clinical Trial Coordinator and Financial Administrator
- Escalate data discrepancies and other required issues to the Clinical Trial Manager
- Build understanding of research processes and support research operations
- Document business requirements for research processes
- Partner with clinical staff to support data needs for research functions
- Create and document instructions for complex tasks so others can follow established guidance
- Test applications to confirm intended functionality and identify gaps
- Assist with development of user training materials
- Document technical processes as needed
- Verify recommended solutions align with research requirements
- Develop understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies
- Communicate with customers, internal resources, and support teams to meet objectives
- Collaborate with clinical and research resources to identify and develop process improvements
- Assist with testing and implementation of new system functionality
- Participate in cross-functional teams to gather clinical and research needs for solution identification
- Perform other assigned projects and duties as directed by the Clinical Research Manager
Requirements
- 3 years of experience working with clinical trials and supporting clinical trial research staff, or a similar healthcare setting
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Google productivity tools required: Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Drive
- Workday experience is a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively and interact with a diverse community
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Use independent judgment and discretion to determine appropriate next steps
- Ability to work with large data sets
- Strong knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to create and document procedures for training materials
- Excellent problem-solving skills

Location and Pay
- Washington, DC (Onsite)
- Hourly pay range: $26.26 - $48.32
- Salary range provided: USD 26 - 48 per hourly
