Job Description

Shield HealthCare is hiring an on-site Data Analyst in Valencia, CA to build advanced analytics models, reporting, and dashboards that support operational performance.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain advanced data models in Excel or other applications using complex formulas and business rules
  • Extract and analyze data by writing queries from AS400 (or SQL) data management systems
  • Collaborate with internal teams to continuously improve operational performance and model accuracy
  • Create customized reports for internal and external stakeholders and communicate findings clearly and concisely
  • Produce management reporting that highlights operational results and emerging trends
  • Improve order review accuracy to support higher cash collection rate, lower write-offs, and reduced Accounts Receivable balances
  • Assist with implementation of new software application solutions as needed
  • Manage multiple priorities with aggressive deadlines, including appropriate follow-up and closure
  • Support creation and maintenance of company dashboards
  • Complete special projects aligned to team and organizational objectives and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • BS in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
  • 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, and working with large data sets
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365: Excel (Expert), Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, Teams
  • Advanced Excel capability, including pivot tables, multi-layer IF statements, lookup formulas, and VBA (a plus)
  • Experience writing queries in AS400/SQL or similar
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with strong accountability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, with extreme attention to detail; able to manage multiple priorities, respond to changing business needs, and meet critical deadlines

Salary

  • USD 70,000 - 90,000 per year
