Job Description
Brown Construction Services (BCS, Inc.) is seeking a Budget/Data Analyst for a long-term Federal Government client in Washington, DC. The role focuses on processing financial transactions and producing accurate, audit-ready project financial reporting to support oversight and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project financial management by processing procurement requests and tracking budgets, commitments, obligations, expenditures, and contract close-outs.
- Process, coordinate, manage, and report the transfer of funds among government components.
- Attend regular project progress meetings to address requests for financial data.
- Perform Quality Control and Quality Assurance activities to maintain data integrity.
- Reconcile project data with multiple online financial systems to ensure accuracy and timely responses for regular financial audits.
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial and project performance reports for project managers, leadership, and other stakeholders.
- Stay current on policies and updates to financial policies to provide guidance to project managers.
- Follow up with components and federal agencies to collect project requirements for spend-plan formulation.
- Support budget formulation and continuously review changes in project timelines, providing updated supporting data for formal congressional queries.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to successfully pass a Public Trust background check.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a minimum of 4 years of experience in a comparable data analyst or project-based role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience working with budgets, procurements, invoicing, financial reporting, or cost analysis.

Salary and Location
- Location: Washington, DC (onsite)
- Compensation: USD 75,000 - 90,000 per year
