Job Description

Data Analyst & GenAI Specialist supporting AI and analytics initiatives at GE HealthCare in Chicago, IL (onsite), focusing on exploratory data analysis, data wrangling, and practical GenAI solutions to improve IT business processes, with a salary range of USD 70,400 - 105,600 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Query, merge, and reshape data from multiple sources with SQL
  • Clean and preprocess structured and semi-structured data, addressing gaps and duplicates
  • Develop and maintain analysis-ready datasets for feature engineering, modeling, and reporting
  • Run data quality checks and document results
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to reveal structure and context
  • Detect trends and issues that could affect modeling or interpretation
  • Create visualizations and summaries for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Perform descriptive and basic inferential statistics as appropriate
  • Assist with measurement design, KPI definitions, and experimental analysis
  • Validate inputs, features, and labels by analyzing data lineage and leakage risks
  • Leverage low-code GenAI tools to enhance IT processes
  • Design GenAI solutions using tools such as Copilot and Claude
  • Create prompts, workflows, templates, and lightweight AI assistants
  • Collaborate with process owners to identify GenAI use cases and feasible solutions
  • Test GenAI outputs for accuracy, usefulness, and tone; document guardrails
  • Monitor adoption and outcomes; propose enhancements based on feedback
  • Contribute to technical teams focused on analytics and GenAI applications
  • Maintain structured documentation for datasets, steps, prompts, and outputs
  • Partner with data scientists, AI engineers, and stakeholders to deliver AI outputs
  • Support reproducible analysis with standard data practices and version control
  • Produce reports, annotated code, and process documentation to share results
  • Share findings and recommendations with team members and stakeholders
  • Follow data governance, privacy, security, and responsible AI policies
  • Handle sensitive data with proper access controls and documentation
  • Exercise sound judgment in GenAI use, validate outputs, and protect confidential data

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a quantitative or technical field, with 0-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of SQL for querying data, including joins, aggregations, and filters
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis (eg, pandas), plus basic scripting
  • Understanding of core statistics such as distributions, descriptive stats, correlations, and basic hypothesis testing
  • Strong communication skills for conveying insights and limitations
  • Attention to detail and comfort with messy or evolving data and requirements
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau or Power BI) or Python visualization libraries
  • Interest in applying generative AI tools to business workflows and process improvement
  • Familiarity with enterprise GenAI platforms or workflow tools such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Automate, ChatGPT Enterprise, custom GPTs, Claude, or similar
  • Experience with AWS or Azure is a plus
  • Familiarity with ML/AI concepts (features, labels, training vs inference data, evaluation metrics) preferred
  • Experience using Git and creating reproducible notebooks or documentation is a plus
