Job Description
UnitedHealthcare seeks a Data Analyst I to bolster the team’s ability to turn complex operational data into actionable insights and scalable analytics solutions. This hybrid role focuses on building and refining tools that support advanced analytics, including AI and ML enabled use cases, across multiple lines of business. The position requires a steady on-site presence at the 9700 building in Minnetonka, MN, averaging four days per week.
Location: Minnetonka, MN (hybrid) | Salary: USD 60,200 - 107,400 per year | Minimum experience: 1 year
Responsibilities
- Aggregate data from multiple sources to build and maintain dashboards and analyses that surface insights and opportunities.
- Contribute to the full analytics and data solution lifecycle, including research, proof of concepts, design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
- Examine operational and experience data to identify opportunities for process improvements, cost optimization, and experience enhancements across consumer, provider, and core operations.
- Engage with diverse data sources such as NPS trends, consumer and provider verbatims, digital portal interactions, and key operational metrics.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to define business problems and craft analytic solutions.
- Utilize data storytelling techniques to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support team and organizational growth through knowledge sharing, collaboration, and ongoing self-development.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in analytics, statistics, computer science, or related analytical roles.
- Hands-on experience (minimum 1 year) in data analysis, data-driven investigations, data visualization, and insight generation for operational or leadership audiences.
- Experience building analytics solutions using business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau, or equivalents.
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Proficiency in Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Residence in Minnesota with the ability to work in the Minnetonka office an average of four days per week.
