Data Analyst | In-Field Preach My Gospel Training

Missionary Training Center supports missionary training efforts through insight-driven analytics. In this part-time, onsite role in the United States, you will analyze training data, translate findings into practical recommendations, and help strengthen how training programs are evaluated and improved.

What you’ll do

• Provide transparency, operational insights, and recommendations to support decision-making and planning.
• Evaluate onboarding experiences and tools to help train leaders, tutors, mentors, teachers, and training coordinators on the knowledge and skills they need.
• Partner with MTC Research and Evaluation on key outcome efforts.
• Use analytics tools such as R, Python, and SQL to analyze missionary training data coming from programs built in PowerApps, including determining how training is used and how effective it is.
• Create visualizations of findings in Tableau to support clear reporting.
• Synthesize complex qualitative and quantitative information into clear takeaways and recommendations.
• Develop processes and reporting to measure training outputs, outcomes, and impact.
• May use programming languages to develop technology solutions for online training.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by your supervisor.

Qualifications

• Experience with data processing software, such as Tableau, SQL, R, PowerApps, or Python (and similar tools).
• Experience applying data-driven decision making.
• Ability to plan time effectively while independently managing work and collaborating on multiple projects and clients at the same time.
• Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills, including written, virtual, and verbal communication.
• Self-starter with a strong learning mindset, along with initiative, organization, and attention to detail.
• Physical requirements may include sitting for long periods and using monitors and related equipment to perform essential functions.
• Returned missionary is preferred.
• Data science experience is preferred.

Tools you’ll use

You’ll work with R, Python, SQL, PowerApps, and Tableau.

Reports to: Manager of Analytics and Reporting in the Missionary Department.
