Data Analyst-Marketing Member
Job Description
Blue Federal Credit Union is seeking a marketing and member data analyst to help connect data engineering, member journey analytics, and executive-ready storytelling. In this onsite role in Cheyenne, Wyoming, you will use SQL and Python to build audience and measurement capabilities that support better institutional ROI and data-driven decision-making.
You will partner across teams to translate business questions into reporting solutions, then present actionable insights to senior leadership through dashboards and narrative presentations.
Role focus
- Serve as a marketing and member data analyst and strategic advisor, combining SQL/Python data engineering with member journey analytics
- Optimize institutional ROI by analyzing member lifecycle dynamics and campaign performance
- Deliver executive-level insights via dashboards and data storytelling for Senior Leadership and Committee review
Responsibilities
- Write, optimize, and maintain advanced SQL queries (multi-table joins, CTEs, window functions) across core banking systems, data warehouses, and MCIF/CRM platforms
- Engineer and deliver high-precision audience segmentation files and suppression logic for omni-channel campaigns (direct mail, digital ads, email, and more)
- Enforce validation protocols, data hygiene, and regulatory compliance including GLBA, CAN-SPAM, FCRA, and Fair Lending
- Automate recurring data extractions to reduce manual friction and support faster go-to-market cycles
- Integrate quantitative core data (product penetration, interchange volumes, digital adoption) with qualitative sentiment (NPS, member effort scores, onboarding feedback) to assess full member lifecycle dynamics
- Conduct root-cause analyses on acquisition, cross-sell propensity, deposit elasticity, and attrition or dormancy risks
- Build Python workflows using Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-Learn for exploratory analysis, persona clustering, and predictive conversion modeling
- Design and measure A/B and multivariate campaign tests, including attribution metrics such as acquisition cost, ROAS, portfolio growth, and lifetime value
- Architect and maintain interactive enterprise dashboards and semantic data models in Power BI (advanced DAX, Power Query) or Tableau
- Partner cross-functionally (Retail Branches, Lending, Wealth Management, and more) to convert ambiguous business needs into automated reporting solutions
- Maintain data dictionaries, audience logic, reporting catalogs, and lineage documentation
- Develop executive-level presentations, visual scorecards, and narrative business cases for Senior Leadership and Committee review
- Act as an internal strategic consultant to department heads with data-backed recommendations on product design, pricing sensitivity, branch operations, and member retention
- Support self-service dashboard adoption and improved metrics interpretation across the organization
- Comply with company policies and applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control
Required qualifications
- 3 years to 5 years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience
- Proven ability to write, debug, and optimize complex multi-table joins, subqueries, CTEs, and window functions against enterprise relational databases
- Demonstrated experience building end-to-end data models and dashboards in Power BI (including DAX and data shaping) or Tableau
- Working knowledge or active application of Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn) for data manipulation, process automation, and predictive modeling
- Bachelor’s degree in data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Marketing Analytics, or equivalent quantitative discipline or work experience

Compensation & location
- Location: Cheyenne, WY (onsite)
- Salary: USD 63,911 - 92,402 per yearly
- Full-time ranges: Starting range $63,911.72 - $71,611.93; Full range $61,601.65 - $92,402.48
ADA and work capacity requirements
- Primarily sedentary work; able to bend, sit, and stand for long periods with limited exertion; occasional lifting up to 20 lbs
- Capable of climbing and descending stairs in an emergency situation
- Operate routine office equipment (computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, calculators)
- Routinely sustain repetitive motion using a computer keyboard for an average of 6 to 8 hours per day when necessary
