Job Description

Data Analyst Level 2 supporting Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Sustainment, focusing on the lifecycle of big data solutions, data governance, and spare parts decision support for the F-22 and F-35 programs, with emphasis on analytics, dashboards, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Readiness Based Sparing Systems, including the Aircraft Sustainability Model ASM and SPM.
  • Develop interactive data analytics dashboards to monitor performance and drive improvements.
  • Examine large datasets to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Perform Root Cause Corrective Action RCCA investigations and propose actionable solutions.
  • Design and automate data pipelines to streamline reporting and analysis processes.
  • Maintain and enhance existing databases and dashboards to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Conduct ad hoc research to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Track key metrics and verify performance against defined benchmarks and KPIs.
  • Identify emerging data trends and recommend proactive measures to prevent performance issues.
  • Attend customer-level meetings, Integrated Product Teams IPTs, and planning sessions to align technical solutions with program objectives.
  • Collaborate across internal teams and with external customers to assess and plan spares needs that support mission readiness.
  • Evaluate maintenance plan changes for supportability and assess spare part compatibility for deploying aircraft.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to enable timely, informed decisions by execution teams and leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience handling large datasets including system level extraction, formatting, ingestion/aggregation, and processing; strong statistical knowledge and analytical/problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in programming and creating data analysis tools and queries (examples include C++, Python, SQL).

Location and Opportunity Details

Ability to Work Remotely

Part-time remote telework is available: the selected candidate will work portions of the schedule remotely and portions at a Lockheed Martin facility; exact weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules. Standard schedules are 40 hours over five days, with some condensed options available.

Schedule for this position

Four 10-hour days per week, three days off.

Desired Skills

  • Background in a STEM field or related disciplines such as Operations Research, Statistics, Data Analytics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Management, Decision Sciences, Data Science, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
  • Knowledge or experience with Root-Cause Corrective Action RCCA.
  • Experience with data analysis and performance investigation in logistics, particularly supply and maintenance.
  • U.S. military logistics experience is a plus.
  • Spare parts determination modeling or inventory analysis experience; Readiness Based Spares RBS experience a plus.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, ability to present information clearly, and proactive follow-through.
  • Experience with Python, VBA or SQL, and with HANA or Tableau.
