Responsibilities
- Source and bring in new internal and external data streams to enrich analyses.
- Pull, cleanse, and preprocess data from databases, APIs, and scraped sources, preserving data quality.
- Leverage structured datasets to address concrete business problems once data architectures are in place.
- Integrate data from diverse sources to yield new insights; design and implement custom algorithms and data flows for large enterprise datasets used in modeling, data mining, and research.
- Apply statistical and mathematical methods to large datasets to reveal trends, patterns, and risk signals.
- Translate results into concise business narratives, visuals, and interactive dashboards, including Power BI Report Server.
- Define data requirements, specifications, and data sources to inform actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with systems analysts, engineers, and developers to design applications that validate source data and findings.
- Detect hidden patterns and relationships, dissect problems, and explore connections across disparate data.
- Create and maintain KPI dashboards delivering real time performance insights for stakeholders.
- Generate regular analytical reports and ad hoc analyses to support decision making.
- Derive strategic insights from large data sets and present data in engaging formats.
- Communicate technical findings to both technical and non technical audiences.
- Contribute to the Data Governance Working Group.
- QA data scraping and query processes; triage and resolve data issues promptly.
- Document data lineage, metadata, and analytical methodology in line with governance standards.
- Develop data standards, policies, and procedures; design and implement data mining and data warehousing programs.
- Elicit functional and technical requirements from business owners and translate them into analytic solutions.
- Manage key analytics tasks and resources to meet cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
- Run queries and develop algorithms to analyze data structures and integrate data from multiple tool sources.
- Utilize IBM Cloud Pak for Data, Oracle/SQL Server, SAP, Deltek COBRA, SharePoint, Teamcenter, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- Experience designing solutions with awareness of networking concepts, protocols, network security methodologies, cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and cybersecurity principles.
- Knowledge of data administration, data standardization policies, and standards.
- Applied experience in data mining, data warehousing, machine learning, and AI theory.
- Understanding of network access, identity and access management, including PKI.
- Familiarity with programming language structures and query languages such as SQL and object oriented design.
- Knowledge of secure coding techniques.
