Data Analyst - Transportation BI
Job Description
Data Analyst - Transportation BI at Home Depot / THD, onsite in Atlanta, GA. Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and a track record of translating complex analytics into data-driven insights within Supply Chain.
Responsibilities
- 30 percent of time performing established reporting and analytical tasks following defined processes
- 20 percent leveraging data analytics tools to build new dashboards and reports, plus handling ad hoc requests
- 20 percent ensuring high quality deliverables through meticulous attention to detail
- 20 percent expanding technical capabilities and building subject matter expertise within the core function
- 10 percent presenting findings in clear, accessible terms, linking analytics to the broader business context
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older and legally permitted to work in the United States
- Experience with SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle, or comparable database systems
- 1–3 years of work experience in data mining, statistical analysis, auditing, and/or forecasting
- Prior direct experience analyzing relevant subject matter (for example Supply Chain, Merchandising, Operations)
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, Finance, or related quantitative field
- Strong critical thinking to evaluate alternative solutions and anticipate implications of new information
- Curiosity-driven approach to uncovering the underlying story in data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to convey complex results clearly
- Solid interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and techniques
