Job Description
Citi seeks a Data Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and deployment of new or revised application systems and programs within the Technology organization, participating in applications analysis and programming activities.

Compensation
USD 142,320 - 213,480 per year
Responsibilities
- Lead feasibility assessments, cost and time estimation, IT planning, risk considerations, and applications development to deliver systems aligned with business needs.
- Oversee all phases of the development lifecycle from analysis and design through construction, testing, and deployment, while providing user and operations support.
- Apply deep expertise in applications development to analyze complex problems, evaluate business processes and system workflows, and make informed judgments.
- Propose and implement security measures during post-implementation reviews to ensure robust system design and functionality.
- Consult with users and other technology teams to address issues, propose advanced programming solutions, and assist with customer exposure systems.
- Ensure adherence to core procedures and contribute to the definition of operating standards and processes.
- Serve as a mentor or coach to newer or junior analysts as needed.
- Operate with limited direct supervision and demonstrate independence of thought and initiative.
- Act as a subject matter expert to senior stakeholders and team members, guiding technical decisions.
- Assess risk in business decisions with attention to Citigroup's reputation, regulatory compliance, and ethical standards, escalating control issues transparently when necessary.
Qualifications
- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in data engineering or related fields.
- Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications.
- Proven track record managing and delivering successful projects.
- Working knowledge of consulting and project management methodologies and techniques.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage changing deadlines or requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
