Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and deploy data pipelines and platforms that unify disparate data for mission-driven projects based in Atlanta, Georgia. The role involves collaborating with a cross-functional team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment to deliver scalable data solutions for clients.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement data pipelines and platforms that consolidate diverse data into meaningful, usable insights.
- Collaborate with analysts, engineers, developers, and data users within a dynamic, agile setting.
- Advance capabilities in exploratory analytics and data examination while supporting the evaluation, design, development, and maintenance of scalable client data platforms.
Requirements
- Three or more years in data warehousing development
- At least three years analyzing aggregated data from multiple sources in cloud environments
- Two or more years building and maintaining scalable data stores that feed large-scale data used for business analysis
- Proficiency with SQL and Python for extracting, parsing, and processing both structured and unstructured data
- Experience designing scalable ETL or ELT workflows for reporting and analytics using cloud technologies
- Ability to author scripts and programs to transform diverse data into usable formats and help the team scale, monitor, and operate data platforms
- Capability to perform backend testing for SQL and NoSQL databases, including post-deployment data validation
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability determination as required by the client
- Bachelor's degree required
