Job Description
Remote Data Engineer/Analyst role at Intone Networks focused on troubleshooting data issues, SQL driven data management, data quality and security, and scalable architectures to support healthcare claims applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and run complex SQL queries to support data management and validation.
- Apply domain expertise in data mapping, transformations, validations, and ingestion workflows.
- Oversee data workflows to guarantee quality, consistency, and reliability.
- Design and deploy scalable, secure data architectures for existing and new applications.
- Configure production solutions and services as required.
- Act as a change agent to identify improvement opportunities and propose business process enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams including technical product owners, analysts, and software engineers.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures.
- Join code reviews, sprint planning, and architecture discussions.
- Mentor junior engineers and advocate data engineering best practices.
- Attend meetings with clients and stakeholders.
- Complete assigned tasks.
- Provide after-hours or weekend support as needed.
- Work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Adhere to industry and organizational compliance rules to maintain data integrity.
- Resolve tasks using department ticketing systems within deadlines.
- Meet organizational and personal goals as outlined in performance reviews and goal setting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years in data engineering or a related role.
- 8+ years of data analysis experience.
- Experience in healthcare enrollment, medical claims, or pharmacy claims preferred.
- 8+ years hands-on SQL and/or PL/SQL experience.
- Experience designing, implementing, and optimizing data models in NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, neo4j) for high-volume, low-latency workloads.
- Familiarity with big data and cloud technologies (Databricks, AWS, Azure, Hadoop, Spark, Snowflake, etc.) preferred.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Flexible work schedule.
- Experience with Jira or similar project management tools.
- Strong understanding of agile development practices, ideally SAFe.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
