Job Description

Remote Data Engineer/Analyst role at Intone Networks focused on troubleshooting data issues, SQL driven data management, data quality and security, and scalable architectures to support healthcare claims applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and run complex SQL queries to support data management and validation.
  • Apply domain expertise in data mapping, transformations, validations, and ingestion workflows.
  • Oversee data workflows to guarantee quality, consistency, and reliability.
  • Design and deploy scalable, secure data architectures for existing and new applications.
  • Configure production solutions and services as required.
  • Act as a change agent to identify improvement opportunities and propose business process enhancements.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams including technical product owners, analysts, and software engineers.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures.
  • Join code reviews, sprint planning, and architecture discussions.
  • Mentor junior engineers and advocate data engineering best practices.
  • Attend meetings with clients and stakeholders.
  • Complete assigned tasks.
  • Provide after-hours or weekend support as needed.
  • Work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Adhere to industry and organizational compliance rules to maintain data integrity.
  • Resolve tasks using department ticketing systems within deadlines.
  • Meet organizational and personal goals as outlined in performance reviews and goal setting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years in data engineering or a related role.
  • 8+ years of data analysis experience.
  • Experience in healthcare enrollment, medical claims, or pharmacy claims preferred.
  • 8+ years hands-on SQL and/or PL/SQL experience.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and optimizing data models in NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, neo4j) for high-volume, low-latency workloads.
  • Familiarity with big data and cloud technologies (Databricks, AWS, Azure, Hadoop, Spark, Snowflake, etc.) preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Flexible work schedule.
  • Experience with Jira or similar project management tools.
  • Strong understanding of agile development practices, ideally SAFe.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Effective information exchange with others.
  • Assessing accuracy and thoroughness of work.
