Job Description

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Data Engineer to build data pipelines and platforms, organize disparate data, and collaborate on mission-driven projects. This onsite role is based in Washington, DC, and involves guiding a multidisciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in an agile environment. The position requires a bachelor’s degree and 3 or more years of data engineering experience.

Responsibilities

  • Help build advanced technology solutions and implement data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry.
  • Deploy and develop pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful.
  • Work with and guide a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Use your experience in analytical exploration and data examination while you manage the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms for your clients.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with major data science languages such as Python and R
  • 3+ years of experience retrieving, merging, and analyzing structured and unstructured data sources from APIs and databases through Python, R, or SQL
  • Experience with database design and administration in DBMS such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL
  • Experience with data analytics, data mining, statistical analysis, or AI/ML
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience in data engineering, or 12+ years of experience in data engineering in lieu of a degree

Clearance

TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Compensation

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, contract-specific affordability, and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD).
