Job Description

Texas Instruments seeks a Data Engineer to join the North Texas 300mm industrial engineering and advanced data analytics team in Dallas, TX onsite.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex operational challenges across multiple stakeholders to drive optimal solutions in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provision data for decision making and analytics.
  • Develop data visualizations for internal and external customers.
  • Develop and maintain server side ETL pipelines and custom databases.
  • Formulate and code algorithms to support data transformation.
  • Troubleshoot system interruptions and harden processes against future occurrences.
  • Communicate effectively across functional, hierarchical, and cultural boundaries.
  • Assess emerging technologies and software solutions relevant to semiconductor manufacturing and integrate them into operations in the spirit of Lights Out manufacturing.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Automate data extraction and manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct operations performance analysis to support decision making.
  • Collect and validate operational performance data from automation and system logs to analyze the impact of process requirements.
  • Work with databases to extract critical data required to analyze production impact.
  • Analyze and maintain large data sets.
  • Apply strong project management skills to deliver initiatives on time.
  • Design and develop software solutions that significantly enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or Information Systems; other engineering majors considered with demonstrated strong software development experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Data Engineer within the semiconductor or high tech manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, C++ etc.
  • Proficiency with SQL queries.
  • Experience with data visualization platforms.
  • Ability to work in a clean room environment while wearing a smock.
