Data Engineer II (AWS, Databricks, AI)

Travelers is seeking a Data Engineer II to design, build, and operationalize data pipelines and data solutions that enable AI, analytics, and business intelligence. This on-site role is based in Hartford, CT and leverages AWS, Databricks, and PySpark to deliver scalable data products.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy sophisticated data pipelines and solutions, troubleshoot defects, apply transformations, and propose data cleansing and quality improvements.
• Design and architect advanced data solutions to meet analytical and AI needs.
• Assess complex data sources to determine value and applicability, recommending datasets for analytics workflows.
• Incorporate data management practices including governance, security, and quality controls.
• Collaborate across teams to support delivery and educate users on data products and the analytics environment.
• Analyze data and systems to triage and resolve complex defects and incidents.
• Validate data movement, transformation logic, and data components through testing.
• Carry out additional duties as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related STEM field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• A minimum of four years of data engineering experience.

Salary Range

USD 126,500.00 - USD 208,700.00 per year
