Responsibilities

• Apply leadership and data science expertise to deliver real world impact for clients
• Collaborate with clients to clarify questions, then explore their data environments to uncover insights
• Mentor teammates and steer the development of algorithms and end‑to‑end systems
• Choose and combine appropriate tools and frameworks to convert disparate data points into clear, actionable answers that guide decision making
• Develop a deep understanding of data, its meaning, and its potential applications

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with data science programming languages such as Python or R
• Experience building ETL pipelines, including API queries, data cleaning and conditioning, and designing schemas for storage
• Experience with version control tools, including Git, GitLab, GitHub, or Bitbucket
• Knowledge of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning methods
• Ability to design and develop automated analytic software, techniques, and algorithms
• Ability to develop solutions and integrate or extend free and open‑source software (FOSS) or COTS products
• Ability to generate data visualizations with Tableau, Power BI, or ArcGIS
• TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in data science, or 7+ years of experience in data science in lieu of a degree

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $77,500 to $176,000 annually, determined by location, education, experience, and other contract‑specific factors. This range represents Booz Allen's typical compensation for the role and is one component of total pay.
