Job Description
Data Scientist, Mid at Booz Allen Hamilton in San Diego, CA is an onsite role focused on translating data into actionable insights through data science techniques, machine learning, and close collaboration with clients.
Responsibilities
- Apply analytical skills and data science knowledge to deliver real world impact on client initiatives.
- Partner with clients to clarify questions and needs, then explore data rich environments to identify the relevant information.
- Design algorithms and systems, selecting the appropriate tools and frameworks to convert disparate data points into objective answers that support informed decisions.
- Provide a deep understanding of the data and guidance on how insights can be applied to business problems.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with data exploration, cleaning, analysis, visualization, or mining.
- 2+ years of experience with statistical and general purpose programming languages used for data analysis.
- Experience analyzing structured and unstructured data sources.
- Experience developing predictive data models, quantitative analyses, and visualization of targeted data sources.
- Knowledge of machine learning, artificial intelligence, or natural language processing.
- Knowledge of text mining or related machine learning techniques.
- Secret clearance.

Compensation

The projected annual compensation range is 61,900 to 141,000 USD. This posting closes within 90 days from the posting date.
