Experienced Data Scientist

Spirit AeroSystems is hiring an Experienced Data Scientist for an onsite role in Wichita, KS (Spirit Defense). The position offers a competitive pay range of $114,850 to $176,050 per year and a Total Rewards package that includes health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, and life and disability insurance programs. What You’ll Do

• Consolidate and analyze structured and unstructured data from diverse sources.
• Develop algorithms, dashboards, and queries to model and support datasets.
• Use off-the-shelf software and write new code as needed to inspect, mine, transform, and model data, improving productivity and decision making.
• Perform statistical analysis using statistical software and collect, analyze, and interpret numerical data.
• Prepare conclusions and predictions based on data summaries.
• Devise modeling and measurement techniques using mathematics, statistical methods, operational mathematics, and machine learning approaches.
• Stay current on new analytic methodologies and technologies.
• Collaborate with functional business units to drive business solutions and direction.

What You’ll Need

• 6–9 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 4–7 years of related experience with a Master’s degree.
• Ability to obtain required CUI and OPSEC certifications.

This role requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance post-start is required.
