Financial Data Analyst

The Financial Data Analyst role is an in office, onsite position based in Urbandale, IA. The role collaborates with management and cross-functional teams on data tasks, reporting, and ad hoc data requests to support informed decision-making and drive operational efficiency across DSI Systems Inc.

Responsibilities

• Handle dealer inquiries and investigate data by querying multiple vendor tables with SQL, resolving dealer disputes in a timely manner.
• Lead data collection, reporting, dealer payments, and vendor receivable reconciliation across multiple DSI programs.
• Evaluate vendor data and update current vendor payment processes accordingly.
• Identify high level data issues from vendors while collaborating with Sales across all levels.
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports by consolidating data from various accounting applications and presenting results in an audience-appropriate format.
• Provide admin level support to other DSI departments as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) with 2+ years of experience in IT, finance, accounting, or analytics, or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with experience handling large data sets.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence across departments.
• A proactive mindset and determination to uncover solid solutions to core issues.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Extremely detail-oriented and well organized.
• Experience with MS SQL, MS SQL Reporting Services, MS Visual Basic; familiarity with Domo is a plus.
• Knowledge or experience in accounting or finance is a plus.

Compensation

Salary: USD 40,000 - 50,000 per year
