FP&A Analyst, State Analytics & Decision Support (Auto Finance)
Job Description
GEICO’s Auto CFO organization is hiring an FP&A Analyst for State Analytics and Decision Support, focused on turning financial and operational information into clear, decision-ready insights. In this hybrid role, you will build models, evaluate risk and outlooks, and partner with business stakeholders to strengthen planning and performance analysis.
What you’ll do
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models that support business performance.
- Build tools, projections, and scenario analyses to evaluate business risk and future outlooks.
- Isolate key drivers, quantify the impacts of operational changes, and assess resulting implications.
- Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Perform sensitivity and trade-off analysis aligned to core business levers.
- Create insight-led narratives that connect financial outcomes to operational drivers.
- Move beyond descriptive reporting by proactively diagnosing issues and surfacing potential corrective actions.
- Build, enhance, and maintain analytical tools, templates, and dashboards for repeatable decision support.
- Improve data usability, documentation, and analytical efficiency.
- Partner with peers and leaders to evolve analytical frameworks over time.
- Collaborate with Product and/or other cross-functional partners to understand business context and decision needs.
- Support presentations and readouts by translating analyses into clear, decision-ready materials.
- Respond to ad hoc analytical requests with speed, accuracy, and thoughtful interpretation.
- Deliver accurate, timely analyses and reporting to support business decision-making.
- Manage moderately complex analytical projects involving ambiguous business questions.
- Balance multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of analytical rigor.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a relative quantitative field (preferred).
- 1 to 3 years of FP&A, Finance, or a similar role.
- Insurance industry knowledge preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Tools.
- Knowledge of SQL and Power BI preferred, but not required.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation
Annual salary: $77,900.00 - $129,150.00
