Gen AI Engineer
Job Description
Robotics Technologies is hiring a Gen AI Engineer to build an enterprise-grade AI agent platform for scalable multi-agent orchestration and production-ready autonomous AI solutions in Chicago.
Responsibilities
- Design and build an enterprise AI agent platform for scalable multi-agent orchestration, agentic workflows, model gateways, observability, governance, and security, backed by automated evaluation frameworks.
- Support teams in building, deploying, and operating AI agents using multiple development approaches while delivering a standardized foundation for orchestration, integration, governance, security, and observability.
- Design agentic workflows and multi-agent orchestration, including event-driven and workflow-based patterns.
- Implement enterprise-grade observability with centralized instrumentation, tracing, operational metrics, performance monitoring, error tracking, and visibility into agent execution and behavior.
- Develop a centralized gateway for AI model interactions, agent tools, and external services, including security, governance, authentication and authorization, access control, throttling, monitoring, and policy enforcement.
- Create scalable, extensible, technology-agnostic AI platform capabilities so different teams and business domains can develop agents independently while adhering to shared standards for interoperability, security, governance, reliability, and operational management.
- Build production-grade AI engineering capabilities, including Agent Harness Engineering, automated and closed-loop evaluation, feedback loops, prompt and model evaluation, observability, guardrails, resiliency, and continuous improvement mechanisms.
Requirements
- Experience designing agentic workflows and multi-agent orchestration, including both event-driven and workflow-based patterns.
- Experience establishing enterprise-grade observability: centralized instrumentation, tracing, operational metrics, performance monitoring, error tracking, and visibility into agent execution and behavior.
- Experience providing a centralized gateway for AI model interactions, agent tools, and external services, including security, governance, authentication and authorization, access control, throttling, monitoring, and policy enforcement.
- Experience building scalable, extensible, technology-agnostic AI platforms that enable independent agent development across teams and domains while meeting enterprise standards for interoperability, security, governance, reliability, and operational management.
- Experience focused on production-grade AI engineering capabilities: Agent Harness Engineering, automated and closed-loop evaluation, feedback loops, prompt and model evaluation, observability, guardrails, resiliency, and continuous improvement mechanisms.
