IT & Data Analyst

Avanti’s of Peoria is hiring an IT & Data Analyst (onsite in the United States) for a hands-on role combining IT support with restaurant performance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Deliver day-to-day IT support across restaurant locations.
• Troubleshoot computers, printers, POS equipment, internet and network issues, cameras, and other technology.
• Support and maintain the Toast POS system, including:
  • Troubleshooting
  • Menu changes
  • User access
  • Reporting support
  • System configuration
• Coordinate with technology vendors when additional support is needed.
• Analyze sales, labor, menu, and operational data to improve decisions and restaurant operations.
• Create reports that help managers and leadership understand performance.
• Evaluate menu item sales, pricing, food cost, and profitability.
• Review labor costs, staffing levels, overtime, and sales per labor hour.
• Spot trends, inefficiencies, and unusual changes in the data.
• Compare performance across locations, shifts, days, and time periods.
• Provide insight into why changes are happening, not only what happened.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Assist with technology projects as needed, including equipment installation, cameras, wiring, and other IT needs.

Requirements

• Strong problem-solving skills and enjoyment of figuring things out.
• Comfort working with both technology and numbers.
• Experience with Toast POS or another restaurant POS system.
• Strong capability in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with data.
• Ability to review spreadsheets and identify trends, problems, and opportunities.
• Comfort troubleshooting technology and supporting non-technical employees.
• Ability to explain technical or analytical findings in a way that makes sense to restaurant managers.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfort working independently and taking ownership of issues.
