Principal Financial Systems & Data Analyst
Job Description
Luminize is seeking a Principal Financial Systems & Data Analyst to own the company’s financial data strategy and help turn data into dependable decision support. This onsite role in San Diego focuses on building BigQuery as the central system of record, leading evaluation of an enterprise ERP and FP&A platform, and creating reporting and automation that finance and accounting can rely on.
You will partner closely across brand, supply chain, FP&A, operations, and technology to define data models, governance standards, and dashboard specifications, translating business questions into accurate metrics and usable reporting experiences.
What you’ll do
- Migrate financial and operational data including Amazon Seller Central sales plus warehouse, product, and inventory information into BigQuery as the central system of record
- Set data governance standards and collaborate with engineering to design schema and build reliable data pipelines
- Work with brand, supply chain, and FP&A leaders to translate unclear business questions into the right data models, reporting specifications, and dashboard designs
- Create executive dashboards, scorecards, and self-service business intelligence tools using Advanced SQL and platforms such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Looker, Power BI, or Tableau
- Lead technical evaluation and implementation of an enterprise ERP and FP&A platform including NetSuite, Sage Intacct, SAP Business One, or similar
- Drive financial systems automation using tools like Zapier, Make.com, dbt, and Airflow, incorporating AI-enabled reporting and forecasting where it adds value
- Act as the primary financial systems liaison between finance, accounting, operations, supply chain, and technology, reconciling reports against source systems before sharing results with stakeholders
What you bring
- 8+ years of experience with financial systems, including building FP&A and financial reporting infrastructure from the ground up
- Advanced SQL and hands-on experience with data warehousing and BI platforms such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Looker, Power BI, or Tableau
- Experience evaluating or implementing ERP systems (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, SAP Business One, or similar) is preferred
- Direct experience with Amazon Seller Central financial data and FBA/FBM inventory and sales integrations is strongly preferred
- Strong business partnering skills, including the ability to clarify the underlying question behind a data request and explain what the numbers mean to non-technical stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Compensation
- USD 140,000 - 170,000 per year
- Salary range accounts for varying levels of experience, skill sets, and leadership depth
