Job Description

Turn product and factory data into actionable metrics that improve Amp, software outcomes, and operational performance.

  • Product usage analytics for Amp: analyze feature adoption, workflow completion, funnels and drop-off, and how new releases change user behavior
  • Validate impact on speed and usability: assess whether shipped changes make users faster by identifying where people get stuck or abandon workflows
  • Operational and business metrics: build dashboards using Amp operational data (throughput, quality, cycle time, on-time delivery, cost) plus systems of record including QuickBooks (finance) and Rippling (HR/timekeeping)
  • Core KPI dashboards: deliver the daily-check dashboards for throughput, quality, cycle time, on-time delivery, and cost
  • Leadership-ready reporting: own top-line metrics used for investor updates, board decks, and quarterly OKR tracking with accuracy, consistency, and defensibility
  • Ambiguity to trustworthy analysis: define metrics clearly, validate against reality, and account for data quirks and edge cases
  • Measure what ships works: establish baselines, track post-launch performance, and report business impact of improved visibility
  • Prototype and codify: prototype metrics and dashboards with real users, then partner with Product and engineering to implement into Amp and the reporting platform
  • Close instrumentation gaps: identify missing data needs (instrumentation and operational capture) and advocate to address them
  • Cross-functional metric discovery: partner across sales, quoting, order management, manufacturing, production, quality, supply chain, logistics, and engineering to surface each team’s metric requirements
  • Operational trends over time: build trend charts showing company performance and process improvements
  • Collaboration and reporting: report to the Product team and work across Product, Operations, and company leadership

  • Ownership in a lean, fast-paced environment
  • Comfort discussing data flows and technical tradeoffs with engineers
  • Product analytics experience using tools such as PostHog, Amplitude, or Mixpanel
  • Analytical rigor to define metrics precisely and judge data trustworthiness
  • Executive-ready metric building from messy data into clean, consistent numbers that hold up in board or investor settings
