SAAS Implementation & Data Analyst (SQL/MySQL)

The SAAS Implementation & Data Analyst role at Trondent Development Corp focuses on onboarding clients, crafting SQL queries, analyzing data, and supporting cloud-based software solutions. This on-site position is based in Barrington, Illinois.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Data and reporting: Write SQL queries against MySQL databases on a daily basis. Pull ad hoc reports for clients and internal stakeholders. Troubleshoot data issues and answer questions that require exploring relational data across multiple tables. Identify patterns and anomalies. You will not be writing application code, but you are the go-to person when the answer lives in the database.
• Client-facing work: Onboard new clients onto our platforms. Conduct implementation and configuration calls. Handle support escalations. Build relationships with the people who use our software every day.
• Business analysis: Gather and document client requirements. Translate needs into clear specifications. Collaborate with the development team to ensure what is built aligns with what was requested.
• Product quality and input: Participate in QA and testing of new releases before they reach clients. Join sales demonstrations. Provide input on product direction based on feedback from software users.

REQUIREMENTS

• Hands-on SQL proficiency: Experience with JOINs across multiple tables, subqueries, GROUP BY with HAVING, aggregation functions, and UPDATE and DELETE statements with safeguards. You will be tested on these skills during the interview. If you cannot write a multi-table JOIN from scratch, this role is not the right fit.
• Three or more years of professional experience with MySQL or a comparable relational database (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MariaDB).
• Three or more years in a client-facing role involving business analysis, software implementation, or technical support within a B2B SaaS environment.
• Strong communication skills: Excellent written and verbal abilities to represent Trondent to clients.
• Self-starter mindset: In a small team, you own problems from start to finish without waiting for direction.
• On-site availability: Ability to work at the Barrington, IL office.

PAY

Salary: USD 70,000 - 80,000 per year
