Secure AI Engineer Manager
Job Description
Accenture seeks a Secure AI Engineer Manager to lead delivery, security tooling, and practitioner development within the Secure AI practice. This onsite role in Walnut Creek, California focuses on advancing AI security and AI for security, combining hands-on coding with client engagement. The position offers a salary range of USD 87,400 to 293,800 per year and requires a Bachelor’s degree with at least five years of cybersecurity experience.
Responsibilities
- Deliver cybersecurity solutions for Secure AI to advance enterprise AI adoption and secure AI-enabled operations.
- Design, configure, and test prototype and production secure AI deployment solutions, ensuring end-to-end interoperability.
- Collaborate with project teams, team leaders, delivery leads, and client stakeholders to create AI Security and Governance offerings leveraging LLM platforms, frontier-grade models, agentic architectures, and AI/MCP gateways (examples include Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI).
- Build strong client relationships and earn trust of key advisors.
- Develop the business case for the most effective and appropriate secure AI solution for the client.
- Contribute to Accenture sales efforts when required.
- Pursue ongoing learning in foundational AI, AI security, emerging technologies, and business acumen.
Requirements
- At least five years of total cybersecurity experience with depth in at least one area: AppSec, SecOps / detection engineering, IAM, cloud security, offensive security / penetration testing, GRC, or responsible AI.
- At least one year of hands-on experience with agentic coding tools: Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Codex, with daily use.
- At least one year of experience with AI architecture fundamentals: LLMs, agentic systems, A2A, RAG, MLOps pipelines, MCP, AI Gateway, model serving.
- At least one year of experience in AI-specific security: OWASP LLM Top 10, prompt injection, adversarial inputs, AI supply chain risks.
- At least one year of experience in threat modeling for AI systems (STRIDE, PASTA, or equivalent) applied to LLM deployments and agentic pipelines.
- Cloud platform security fundamentals certification (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (12+ years); if holding an Associate’s Degree, a minimum of 6 years of work experience is required.
