Job Description
Senior AI Engineer I role embedded within Schneider Electric’s Secure Power team to deliver production AI agents, automation, and dashboards.
Responsibilities
- Build and deploy AI agents (for example, Microsoft Copilot Studio) to address real Secure Power business problems
- Design, maintain, and support automation and dashboard infrastructure using Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, and Smartsheet
- Partner with process owners and team leaders to map current-state workflows, remove broken or redundant steps, and deliver working prototypes and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs)
- Automate operational workflows across enterprise systems already in use, including Salesforce, Oracle, CPQ, and SharePoint, to reduce manual re-entry
- Run pilots, collect feedback, iterate quickly, and write simple documentation so the team can adopt and own what is built
- Collaborate with the central AI team and follow established governance, security, and responsible AI policies
Requirements
- AI Agent Development: Experience building, training, and deploying AI agents (such as Copilot Studio) for real production use
- Workflow Automation: Ability to implement and deploy automated workflows using low-code platforms (such as Power Automate and Power Apps)
- Process Mapping & Redesign: Capability to map end-to-end current-state workflows and determine where automation will add value
- Data Integration: Skill connecting AI and automation tools across enterprise systems via APIs (example systems include Salesforce and Oracle) to reduce manual data re-entry
- Prompt & Logic Design: Translating business rules and decision logic into clear, testable agent instructions
- Responsible AI & Governance: Applying data privacy and security practices, including human review when outputs impact a customer or an order
- Strong problem-solving mindset to handle ambiguous, undocumented processes independently
- Excellent collaboration skills to translate business requirements into technical solutions with cross-functional partners
- Growth mindset and curiosity to explore new AI and automation technologies and methods
- Adaptability to changing priorities in a fast-moving embedded team environment
- Comfort discussing technical tradeoffs with non-technical stakeholders or leaders

Compensation & Location
- Location: Nashville, TN (onsite)
- Pay range: USD 101,600 - 152,400 per year
- Pay range notes: Includes base pay and short-term incentives; applies to candidates located within the United States; individual pay depends on factors including performance, skills, experience, and education or training

About the role
- Embedded within Secure Power to leverage generative AI, automation platforms, and low-code tooling to solve operational problems and reduce manual work
- Build, test, and deploy AI agents, automated workflows, and dashboards while maintaining integrations and infrastructure needed for ongoing operation
- Translate business rules and decision logic into reliable agent instructions and convert manual processes into automated workflows
- Build dashboards to support leadership performance tracking and visibility
- Apply specialized technical expertise in AI and automation to identify inefficiencies, map processes, and address Secure Power operational pain points
- Make decisions on own work and priorities, guided by established precedents, technical standards, and interpretation
- Guide other professionals and provide mentorship on non-routine or escalated issues; work is reviewed for accuracy and quality
